Read about gay debate and Section 377 of IPC which mandates that gay sex is criminal and anyone booked under such an offence can face up to 10 years in jail. It felt nice to learn that this ruling is at least being ‘considered’ for amends by law minister. I also read up about the gay parades spanning several cities across India, last Sunday, expressing discontent over the Section 377. At this particular point of time when homosexuality is still considered a taboo in several parts of US, these new developments in India advocating homosexuality are commendable.

I also read up about Nandan Nilekani being on cabinet ministers’ panel. The changing façade of Indian politics gives me a ‘hope’ to look forward to a better India.
